Tra Terran deluxe Optimus Prime
DPCI: 087-26-5856 MSRP: $24.99
Earthspark Spin Changer Optimus Prime with Robby Malto
That later toy was actually on display at SDCC and we have images of it for you, coming from Toyark.
They also took images of the Mandroid BAF figure. He is the main villain of the series and his pieces come with the deluxe toys.
You can see the Mandroid character in action in the trailer below.

Also from Toyark are the shots of the back of 2 toys we had already seem, deluxe Bumblebee and warrior Elita 1.
And finally here is a video on the new flip changers. They are basically the same as 1 steps, but Hasbro added another element to the transformation as you’ll see.

These look fantastic. I’ve always felt that the real ingenuity can be found in the kid-friendly lines.

Sometimes kids figures are fun. I enjoy cyberverse spark armor prowl and shockwave.

There’s an actual test performed on all toys called a drop test to make sure they either don’t break or if they do break they don’t leave sharp edges when dropped from a height that a child might drop them from under normal play. Some toys have reportedly failed this test and will never be reissued outside Japan (Fortress Maximus) while Hasbro likes to implement “made to break” into their toys so things like hinges and ball joints just pop off and back on rather than snap. It’s not easy making toys for kids, there’s a lot of safety concerns that are taken into consideration first.

Yes, because Hasbro decided they should be to fit their arbitrary division of figures into age classes rather than safety reasons. Prior to the Combiner Wars line Generations figures were 5+ and nothing changed parts and safety wise.

Hasbro precised a few years ago that currently (well then) drop tests are only done on figures with flying alt modes.

It’s unrelated to difficulty and only about marketability. The cyberverse deluxes are as complex and are 6+

Cyberverse is slightly more simple, even the deluxe.

The deluxes are on par with WFC in difficulty. Some are even more complicated like Deluxe Slug that got me stumped a few times. That transformation was full of unexpected twists and turns making it a challenge without instructions.

Well, I only have the Prime….
But they ARE behind in updating articulation. Yes they have ankle tilt, but there are much ball joints due to the “shape” of cyberverse charecters.

I really would not call the use of a ball joint “behind in updated articulation”.
And I would argue that Cyberverse deluxe Bumblebee, Megatron, Arcee, and Slug are actually better than their Siege/ER/SS86 releases.

Add Prowl to that list.

Also something interesting is the fact that no Cyberverse deluxe got a repaint. We had a seeker mold and a datsun mold, but no repaints. i feel like that has to be some sort of record.

They are all overpriced on Ebay, any cyberverse deluxe sells Voyager price.

You call that “overpriced”?
Are you new to this hobby?
I skipped on a “scout” DOTM Guzzle because it was it’s full 10$CAN at Walmart because I was waiting for a sale. Then I never saw it ever again. Counting shipping, I can’t get one for below LEADER price now.
Also if you don’t count exclusives, normal retail figures that are not that old can sell for double, triple, or even 10 times the price.
Any CW fans who miss a limb bot to complete their combiner and want LEGIT stuff are in for PAIN… Unless like me, they have a local geek store who still sell those CW limbs at retail prices.
Oh, and don’t get me started on G1.

Hey, I know about scalpers. It still sucks, no excuse!
And I guess I’m technically new to collecting, but I’ll for sure quit in a few years. I’m not one of those that buys figures just because they exist.
